Fabrication Supervisor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to join their team in Taif. This full-time role involves deputising for a senior company employee within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation, focusing on fabrication supervision, compliance, and continuous improvement. The position includes line management responsibilities, providing functional direction, and ensuring duty of care, welfare, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for the effective delivery of all activities specified in the shop component repair plan, supporting the Salam Project's operational readiness and key performance measurements. Core responsibilities include:

• Upholding a safety-first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines to protect personnel, products, and operations.
• Supporting and promoting Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety & Environment (PS&E).
• Ensuring adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
• Enhancing customer satisfaction by supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety, and continual improvement.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement (CI) throughout the maintenance organisation, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives.
• Reviewing maintenance practices to identify potential improvements and capacity within the organisation.
• Recognising and raising any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
• Ensuring necessary facilities and resources are available according to company policies.
• Monitoring personnel standards to identify negative trends, non-conformities, or motivational deficiencies.
• Accountable for the development reports of all personnel under direct and indirect line management.
• Providing a professional working environment that adheres to the company's "Code of Conduct."
• Providing training, consolidation, and counterpart development activities to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
• Ensuring all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.
• Maintaining operational readiness of shop equipment and scheduling necessary calibrations.
• Ensuring correct tooling and approved data are available, and raising media for deficiencies in approved data.
• Reporting and monitoring equipment and infrastructure damage or deficiencies using correct media.
• Ensuring all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorised and maintaining anti-FOD surveillance.
• Ensuring all maintenance tasks meet the highest quality standards, including accurate recording on the airworthiness tool (ESS).

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess strong leadership capabilities and relevant technical experience:

• Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise engineering personnel at all levels.
• Relevant type training ('Q' Course) and equipment-specific training, if required.
• Experience working with metallic and/or composite materials.
• Ability to read and understand design/repair drawings.
