Health Safety Environment Officer (Mining Industry)

About the Role

Caliberly® - Recruitment Agency is seeking a Health Safety Environment Officer for a full-time position in the mining industry. This role is based in Taif, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is part of our client’s Saudization program, aligning with Saudi labor regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance across mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures on mining sites.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and identify workplace hazards.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Report and investigate incidents and near misses.
• Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks.
• Prepare clear HSE reports for site and senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of HSE experience in the mining industry is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and environmental regulations.
• Proven experience with site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and safety compliance procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills for delivering inductions and reports.
• Effective reporting skills for preparing clear HSE documentation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the mining sector, requiring on-site presence to manage and enforce HSE standards. The role operates within a framework that supports Saudi labor regulations and the Saudization program.
