About Bechtel and the Ar Rjum Project
Bechtel Corporation has a long-standing history of delivering complex projects across various global markets, including infrastructure, nuclear, security & environmental, energy, mining & metals, and manufacturing & technology. The company's services span from initial planning through operations. This role supports the Ar Rjum Project, a greenfield gold project situated in the Central Arabian Gold Region of Saudi Arabia, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh. The project encompasses three open pit mining operations, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure, including both temporary and permanent accommodation villages.
Role Overview
The Mobilisation Coordinator provides essential administrative and coordination support for all workforce mobilisation activities on the Ar Rjum Project. This full-time role ensures that all personnel meet necessary pre-mobilisation, legal, and site access requirements before their arrival on site. Working closely with contractors and internal project teams, the Coordinator verifies workforce documentation, coordinates site access and badging, and schedules mandatory Project Orientations. This is a high-volume, process-driven position that demands strong attention to detail, accuracy in data management, and proactive coordination to facilitate timely and compliant workforce recruitment and mobilisation. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating all mobilisation activities in line with Project requirements and contractor workforce forecasts.
- Reviewing and verifying workforce mobilisation documentation.
- Monitoring and following up on incomplete, missing, or non-compliant documentation.
- Tracking mobilisation status and following up on outstanding requirements.
- Ensuring all pre-mobilisation requirements are met prior to scheduling Project Orientation.
- Coordinating with ES&H teams to schedule and confirm attendance at mandatory Project orientations.
- Coordinating with Security teams for workforce badging and access control.
- Managing orientation bookings and maintaining accurate records of attendance and completion.
- Reporting confirmed orientation schedules and attendance status to relevant stakeholders.
- Tracking mobilisation status against contractor-submitted workforce forecasts and schedules.
- Maintaining accurate mobilisation records, registers, and databases.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on mobilisation status and workforce numbers.
- Validating contractor-submitted workforce data, including headcounts and mobilisation timelines.
- Supporting audits and compliance checks related to workforce mobilisation and orientation.
- Coordinating between Contractors, Workforce Services, Security, ES&H, and other Project functions.
- Identifying and escalating risks or delays that may impact mobilisation schedules.
- Supporting continuous improvement of mobilisation processes, systems, and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in mobilisation, onboarding, training coordination, or workforce services roles on major construction projects.
- Experience working with contractor workforce forecasts and mobilisation planning.
- Experience with workforce systems, databases, or mobilisation tracking tools.
- Experience managing documentation and compliance checks.
- Strong administrative background with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in using Copilot and other AI tools.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian labour and site access requirements (*, Iqama, Ajeer, work permits).
Reporting Structure and Interfaces
The Mobilisation Coordinator reports directly to the Workforce Services Manager for operational instruction and receives functional guidance from the Regional Workforce Services Manager. This position involves frequent interaction with various internal and external stakeholders, including Construction & Project Management, Subcontractor Representatives, and Bechtel's ES&H, Security, Construction, and Contracts Functions.
Work Environment and Commitment
This position requires residence in the Project accommodation facility (camp) in Saudi Arabia. The role is based at the Ar Rjum Project site, located approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh.
