About the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Specialist, QHSE to join their team in Turaif and Dammam. This full-time position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining food safety and quality assurance activities, pest control, and laboratory-related tasks. The role also involves staff training, investigating customer complaints, and ensuring safety standards across the unit and remote sites, requiring 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain food Safety & Quality Assurance activities and records.
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager on food Safety & Quality Assurance issues and the yearly department budget.
  • Train and evaluate new Quality Control staff and report to the Site Manager.
  • Coordinate with various unit sections to resolve food Safety & Quality Assurance issues based on daily hygiene reports.
  • Monitor and maintain pest control activities conducted by the contractor.
  • Ensure regular laboratory activities, including drawing samples of food, water, handprints, and cleaning control, are conducted by Quality Controllers.
  • Investigate customer complaints with respective departments and provide feedback and corrective actions to the Section Head.
  • Provide new hire training, refresher training, and on-job training for all food handlers.
  • Liaise with the medical department for food handler’s certificates, staff post-vacation clearance, and staff infection control.
  • Carry out follow-up hygiene inspections of supplier’s premises and outlets as assigned.
  • Prepare rosters to monitor and maintain 24-hour coverage of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities.
  • Ensure optimum use of stationary, printing, office supplies, and lab chemicals.
  • Act as Site Manager during their absence, as delegated.

Safety and Environment Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety inspections and prepare reports.
  • Conduct safety-related training needs assessments in the workplace.
  • Maintain awareness of active and developing safety situations.
  • Assist the accident investigation team.
  • Conduct on-job training, Tool Box Talks (TBT), and safety brief awareness sessions.
  • Inspect the site to ensure a hazard-free environment.
  • Verify that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
  • Promote and enforce safety guidelines at the job site.
  • Respond to employee’s safety concerns.
  • Cover different remote locations as per work requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in Turaif and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and may require travel to different remote locations as needed. The position is full-time within the Catrion Group.
