About the Manager ESG Advisory Role
Red Sea Global, through its specialized subsidiary REEF, is seeking an experienced Manager ESG Advisory to join its team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading high-quality ESG advisory engagements for diverse public and private sector clients, translating ESG ambitions into practical strategies and measurable outcomes. The role requires managing complex engagements end-to-end and producing client-ready outputs with limited supervision, while leading multidisciplinary teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of ESG and sustainability strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks for clients.
- Conduct ESG assessments, benchmarking, materiality reviews, and gap analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide strategic ESG advisory services to senior client stakeholders on emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and disclosure requirements.
- Manage multiple ESG consulting engagements from initiation through final delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Build strong client relationships, identify opportunities for follow-on work, and support proposal development.
- Review and contribute to technical deliverables, ensuring quality and alignment with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and support the development of ESG capabilities across the organization.
Specialized Advisory Areas
The Manager ESG Advisory will deliver expertise across several key areas, including:
- Leading impact and double materiality assessments, including stakeholder engagement and topic prioritization, aligned with frameworks such as GRI, CSRD/ESRS, and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB).
- Supporting the implementation of ESG strategies through governance frameworks, policies, management systems, and performance monitoring processes.
- Leading the preparation of sustainability reports and disclosure frameworks aligned with GRI, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB), SASB, and TCFD.
- Contributing to climate risk and opportunity assessments, decarbonization strategies, and climate-related disclosures aligned with TCFD and ISSB S2.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, strategy, or related advisory services, with significant consulting experience.
- Proven track record delivering ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, materiality assessments, ESG implementation, and performance management engagements.
- Experience managing client engagements, multidisciplinary teams, and multiple workstreams in a consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of ESG governance, reporting frameworks, disclosure requirements, and emerging regulatory developments.
- Experience delivering ESG advisory services within Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
- Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi Green Initiative, PIF ESG expectations, and sustainability considerations for large-scale development projects.
Technical and Leadership Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate strong capabilities in:
- ESG strategy and sustainability framework development, reporting, and disclosures.
- Impact and double materiality assessments, ESG data governance, KPI development, and performance management.
- Climate risk, decarbonization, carbon management, and net-zero advisory.
- Project and team management, task planning, delegation, and quality assurance.
- Stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, executive presentations, and client relationship management.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred certifications include GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, CFA ESG Certificate, SASB FSA Credential, IFRS Sustainability / ISSB Training, LEED AP, WELL AP, Mostadam AP, or PMP.
