About the Receiving Clerk Role

Accor is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join the operations team at Raffles The Red Sea in Umluj. This full-time position is integral to managing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming shipments and deliveries for the luxury property. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes while upholding high standards of organization and professionalism.

Context of Raffles The Red Sea

Raffles The Red Sea, part of the Raffles & Fairmont the Red Sea development within the Red Sea Project, will offer visitors access to nature-focused resorts. The property will feature 361 rooms, 11 distinct dining concepts, including an overwater restaurant with views of the Red Sea and mangroves, and a Spa. Positioned as a sanctuary of refined elegance and timeless luxury, it blends Raffles’ service with Red Sea Global’s sustainability ethos, catering to discerning travelers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments and deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Accurately document the receipt of goods in inventory management systems and maintain detailed receiving records.
  • Identify and promptly report discrepancies, damaged items, or missing goods to management and suppliers.
  • Organize and store received items in designated areas, adhering to proper storage protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area and warehouse space.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules and inventory status.
  • Process and file all receiving documentation in a timely and organized manner.
  • Perform physical tasks including unloading, moving, and organizing merchandise as needed.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits to ensure the accuracy of records.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk, warehouse associate, or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills; experience with inventory management systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items regularly as part of job duties.
  • Physical capability to work in a warehouse or receiving environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation or material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is considered a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

This is a full-time position located in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. The role requires working within a warehouse or receiving environment and involves performing physical tasks related to the handling of merchandise.
