About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Sustainability Officer for Six Senses Southern Dunes The Red Sea. This full-time position is based in Tabuk, specifically covering Umluj and Tabuk, and is designated for local talent. The role focuses on integrating sustainability practices into daily hotel operations, aligning with the Six Senses vision and values.

Role Purpose and Context

The Sustainability Officer will support the effective operation of the Sustainability function, ensuring compliance with Six Senses Sustainability Guidelines and the resort's specific Sustainability Action Plan. This role is central to promoting sustainability as a core pillar across all hotel activities, collaborating with various departments to implement initiatives and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and promote sustainability initiatives in line with Six Senses brand standards and objectives.
• Monitor sustainability practices to ensure compliance with LQA standards.
• Support the management and documentation of Sustainability Fund projects and initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations and sustainability partners.
• Organize monthly sustainability activities for hosts and engage guests and the local community in initiatives.
• Coordinate participation in global sustainability events, such as Earth Day and World Ocean Day.
• Develop sustainability-related guest experiences in collaboration with the Experiences team.
• Coordinate with other departments to support sustainability operations, communication, and awareness.
• Ensure all sustainability activities comply with Six Senses standards, local laws, and safety requirements.
• Complete required reports and attend meetings, briefings, and training sessions as needed.
• Maintain professional grooming standards, use required personal protective equipment, and ensure departmental equipment is properly maintained.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role within luxury hotels.
• Demonstrated results in implementing sustainability initiatives.
• Strong understanding of sustainability directives and practices.
• Ability to coordinate programs and training effectively.
• Experience range of 5-10 years is required.
