About the Role and Resort

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Waiter/Waitress (Mandarin speaker) for a full-time position at the Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea property in Umluj, Tabuk. This role is part of a groundbreaking, nature-focused resort within the Kingdom’s Red Sea Project. The resort features 361 rooms, eleven distinct dining concepts, including overwater restaurants, and a spa. It is situated next to an 18-hole championship golf course and sets new standards in sustainable development along 200km of untouched coastline, an archipelago of more than 90 unspoiled islands, and rich marine habitats.

Guest Service and Engagement

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive and professional interactions.

• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient food and beverage service at all times.
• Anticipate guest needs, preferences, and expectations to exceed satisfaction.
• Present menus proactively and offer detailed explanations of dishes and beverages.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and report any concerns to the Manager on Duty.

Operational Duties

This role involves executing daily service operations efficiently and maintaining a high standard of presentation and organization within the dining areas.

• Serve and clear food and beverage items in a timely and unobtrusive manner.
• Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset according to service standards.
• Support team members with food running, table service, and station refills.
• Act as a liaison between Front of House and Back of House to ensure smooth service flow.
• Follow opening and closing checklists to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations at all times.

Standards and Compliance

The Waiter/Waitress is expected to uphold all financial, quality, health, and safety standards set by the company and regulatory bodies.

• Support daily financial targets and operational goals of the outlet.
• Adhere to all financial handling procedures as per company guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with LQA, Forbes, and guest satisfaction benchmarks.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP and FIFO standards.
• Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures, including evacuation protocols.
• Report hazards and maintenance issues through appropriate systems.

Team Collaboration and Professionalism

This position requires strong teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to professional standards to contribute to overall hotel operations and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should meet the following requirements:

• 0-1 years of experience in a waiter/waitress role, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required for this position.
• Ability to work full-time in Umluj, Tabuk.
