About the Role

Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu is seeking a Staff Nurse - III for the Male Surgical Ward in Yanbu. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves providing comprehensive patient care within a hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering holistic basic and bedside patient care while adhering to established organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote the organization's mission, ethics, goals, customer service, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies, taking action to correct non-compliance.
  • Attend and actively participate in assigned committee meetings and departmental meetings (75% attendance required).
  • Perform holistic basic and bedside patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist in patient assessment, gather health history, and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to therapy, intervening promptly as needed.
  • Provide individualized patient/family education regarding health conditions and self-care strategies.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.

Administrative and Professional Duties

  • Follow and assist in the implementation and interpretation of RCMC policies and procedures, reviewing them annually.
  • Assist in data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports as required and maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • Maintain a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physicians and staff.
  • Adhere to RCMC dress code and wear identification while on duty.
  • Maintain organizational confidentiality at all times.
  • Integrate trans-cultural principles into nursing care.
  • Report any negative, abnormal, or unexpected events/incidents by filling the Electronic Occurrence Variance Report (EOVR).

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
  • Demonstrable ongoing and active continuous education.
  • Ability to maintain RCMC annual competencies.
  • Knowledge of clinical aspects related to the surgical ward.
  • Strong communication skills, both effective and empathetic, with patients and their families.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy in handling patient information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

Professional Development and Quality Assurance

  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge, skills, and competencies.
  • Seek opportunities for continuing education, certifications, and specialization.
  • Participate in performance evaluation processes and quality improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Yanbu, within the Male Surgical Ward of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. The role requires adherence to regulatory requirements, including national and JCI regulations, and maintaining a safe healthcare environment for patients and staff.
