About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager for a full-time position. This entry-level management role focuses on supporting daily operations within Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry departments, where applicable. The position involves working with employees to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of guestrooms and public spaces, conducting inspections, and ensuring accountability for corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee all lost and found procedures.
  • Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering department on guest room maintenance needs.
  • Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Assist in supervising an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Manage linen inventory and guest supplies, assisting in ordering as necessary.
  • Supervise Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Observe employee service behaviors and provide feedback to continuously improve performance.

Customer Service and Guest Relations

  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when necessary.
  • Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 year of experience is required for this entry-level management position.
  • Ability to assist in ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
