Asst Manager Recreation

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an Asst Manager Recreation to assist with the management of pool and beach areas. This full-time position involves overseeing daily operations, maintenance, cleanliness, and the functioning of cabana units. The role focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while contributing to the financial performance of the recreation areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, supporting day-to-day operations and understanding employee duties to perform them in their absence.
• Monitor quality and standards to meet customer expectations daily.
• Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
• Schedule events, programs, activities, and employee work.
• Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to coworkers and customers.
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Support the management of outside vendors, including water sports and scuba services.
• Assist with managing group activities such as sand painting, bonfires, and team-building events.
• Order and manage necessary supplies, ensuring workers have the required equipment, tools, and uniforms.
• Assist with managing the children's program, including coordinating activities and purchasing equipment and supplies.
• Assist with managing pool and beach areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness, and cabana unit operations.
• Serve as a role model for appropriate behaviors.
• Provide services that exceed expectations for customer satisfaction and retention.
• Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals in understanding guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching as needed.
• Identify developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or help them improve their knowledge or skills.
• Participate in the performance appraisal system process, providing feedback when necessary.
• Coordinate training activities for employees within the department.
• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Communicate expectations and performance objectives to subordinates, while remaining open to their questions and concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 year in a relevant field.
