The Role of BIM Modeler (Structural)

El Seif Engineering Contracting Company is seeking a BIM Modeler (Structural) to join its team. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in the field. The role involves developing and managing structural BIM models, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural models, including beams, slabs, and columns, using Revit or other BIM software, in line with project LOD requirements (LOD 350, 400 & 500).
• Prepare coordinated shop drawings, sections, and schedules from the BIM model.
• Ensure compliance with LOD, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (Civil, architectural, and MEP) to detect and resolve clashes and ensure accuracy and quality.
• Set up families and libraries for structural systems.
• Update models to reflect design changes, RFIs, and site modifications.
• Export models/drawings for submission in required formats (DWG, IFC, PDFs).
• Support project engineers and managers by providing accurate quantity take-offs and data from models.
• Generate structural plans, sections, elevations, and detailed shop drawings from models.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of BIM files.
• Conduct model quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with established standards.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in BIM modeling, specifically structural.
• Proficiency in Revit or other relevant BIM software.
• Understanding of LOD requirements (LOD 350, 400 & 500) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
• Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and resolve clashes effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standards for model quality and documentation.
