The Role: Chef De Partie

The Chef De Partie is responsible for maintaining high standards in all dessert food preparation and service within their assigned kitchens. This full-time position requires adherence to management standards and a focus on quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Shangri-La Philosophy by providing high-quality service to customers and employees, fostering a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
• Coordinate restaurant, banquet, and food production details, including specific duties for supervised employees.
• Monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all food served.
• Ensure proper control of food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
• Manage correct timing during service to ensure food is consistently of the highest standards.
• Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
• Ensure a uniform visual appearance for all prepared dishes, with presentation and garnish adhering to established standards.
• Monitor and implement portion control based on recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong English language skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
