About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chef de Partie to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves preparing a variety of food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety protocols. The Chef de Partie will play a key role in the culinary team, supporting the preparation and presentation of meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitutes as required, and regulate the temperature of cooking equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw food items from the freezer in the refrigerator and ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
• Maintain accurate food records and monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Provide assistance during rush periods and communicate any excess food items to the Chef for daily specials.
• Inform food and beverage service staff about any special menus or unavailable menu items.
• Ensure the quality of all food items and prepare dishes according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist.
• Prepare cold food items and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security, and report any maintenance problems, accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees, ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is required.
• Related Work Experience: Candidates should possess at least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• License or Certification: No specific license or certification is required.

Work Environment

This role is based in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis within the culinary department of Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic kitchen team, contributing to the overall guest experience.
