Clerk Reservations at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Clerk Reservations for a full-time position in the Red Sea region. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of room reservations, including processing requests, changes, and cancellations received through various communication channels. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience and a commitment to delivering professional guest service.

Core Responsibilities

• Process all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types, verifying availability and rates.
• Explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies clearly to callers.
• Handle and document special requests accurately.
• Answer guest inquiries regarding the property's facilities, services, and room accommodations.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue in accordance with company guidelines.

Operational Duties and Guest Service Standards

• Enter and access data efficiently within the reservation system.
• Indicate special room reservation types (*, complimentary, employee discounts, travel agency inspection rates, wholesale) by entering correct codes and rates.
• Follow established escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
• Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues, including proper telephone etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, supporting team goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards in all tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None.

The role requires strict compliance with company policies and procedures. This includes maintaining a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets, as well as the privacy and security of guests and colleagues. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance is also required. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by supervisors.
