Role Overview

The Client Solution Consultant is a senior, industry-aligned member of the account team within the OpenText Solution Consulting Team for the Middle East. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the client and acts as the right hand to the Client Executive for a defined number of Strategic Accounts. The consultant is responsible for the overall technical message and sets the solution strategy for the account, focusing on the One OpenText value proposition by translating client business priorities into cross-Business Unit use cases and measurable business outcomes. The role involves leading engagements from a strategic perspective, framing the importance of change for the client's business, and orchestrating specialist teams including Solution Consultants, Value Engineers, and Enterprise Architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and support the Client Executive on Strategic Accounts.
• Own the technical message, solution strategy, and multi-year vision for assigned accounts.
• Lead OpenText AI positioning within accounts, aligning with client AI strategies.
• Translate industry and client business priorities into cross-Business Unit use cases across Content, Business Network, Cybersecurity, IT Operations, and Experience & AI.
• Conduct executive-level business-outcome conversations, moving beyond feature-based discussions.
• Orchestrate the extended account team, including Solution Consultants, Value Engineers, Enterprise Architects, Professional Services, and Partner Teams.
• Collaborate with Value Engineering to develop business cases and adoption roadmaps based on client-verified inputs.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture to ensure OpenText solutions align with client cloud strategies and IT architecture.
• Lead executive briefings, discovery workshops, and strategy sessions, and sponsor demonstrations and proofs of concept.
• Govern the technical response to complex, multi-solution RFPs and bids.
• Mentor Solution Consultants and represent OpenText at industry and sector events in the region.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Essential: A strong industry background in Public Sector or Financial Services, with a demonstrable track record of delivering complex programs in that sector.
• Essential: An established network of senior client relationships across the Middle East.
• Essential: A strong technical background, with credibility to engage on architecture, integration, data, and cloud, and the ability to delve into technical details when required.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience in business and/or enterprise software environments, including several years in a senior client-facing presales, consulting, or architect role.
• Proven ability to construct cross-portfolio solutions that align with client strategic requirements.
• Experience in architecting enterprise-level solutions embedded in complex customer IT environments and strategies.
• Demonstrated solution selling and value-based selling approach.
• Knowledge of AI & Analytics concepts and their application to industry business problems.
• Credibility and maturity to work with client representatives ranging from technical specialists to C-level executives.
• Experience leading and coordinating virtual teams without direct line authority.
• Awareness of the regulatory, procurement, and data sovereignty context of Public Sector and Financial Services in the Middle East.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and explanation skills.
• Ability to travel as required within the assigned Middle East region.

Experience Required
