Job Description
About the Role
Amsy is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee comprehensive site operations. This full-time role involves managing the full site organization, driving production targets, ensuring constructability, and maintaining alignment with design teams. The Construction Manager will also be responsible for consultant relations, upholding site safety standards, and proposing efficient execution methodologies for projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire site organization, including foremen, site engineers, labor, and subcontractors.
- Drive daily and weekly production against the established baseline program.
- Oversee execution both before and on-site, conducting constructability reviews, resource and plant planning, and ensuring readiness of every workfront.
- Align with the Project Manager and design team on design deliverability, identifying and flagging potential issues before they incur costs.
- Manage consultant interactions, including attending and leading meetings, closing comments, and managing inspections and approvals.
- Address Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with technical evidence, resolve open items, and close out punch lists.
- Manage mobilization and demobilization processes, encompassing site setup, facilities, permits, plant, and orderly exit and handover procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive site records suitable for dispute resolution, including progress reports, photographic evidence, delay events, and meeting minutes.
Execution and Project Standards
- Propose and manage execution methodologies, including method statements, sequencing alternatives, and methods to achieve faster or more cost-effective building without compromising quality.
- Draft and submit project execution documents for tenders, such as method statements, preliminary programs, resource plans, and site logistics plans.
- Produce and maintain CPM-based site programs with rolling three-week lookaheads, linked to procurement and subcontractor commitments.
- Coordinate subcontractor interfaces through structured progress meetings, two-week programs, and documented commitments.
- Maintain daily site diaries, manpower and plant returns, and as-built records throughout the execution phase.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation to ensure consultant and client acceptance.
Quality and Safety Management
- Own site safety from inception to completion, enforcing HSE standards, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring incident-free project delivery.
- Implement formal QA/QC processes, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), material approvals, submittals, shop drawings, and RFI management with full traceability.
- Apply HSE management practices in adherence to OSHA/NEBOSH and Saudi regulatory standards, covering risk assessments, permits to work, and incident investigation.
- Control the cost of quality through rework tracking, defect prevention, and fostering a "first-time-right" culture on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in site construction management. Experience in fit-out, heritage, or remote-site projects is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated track record of managing multi-building or multi-zone sites with lean supervision structures, directly engaging with consultants and client engineers.
- Strong capability in method statements and constructability, with the ability to propose and defend alternative execution methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), capable of technically challenging subcontractor and consultant positions.
- Background in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- NEBOSH/OSHA certification is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Saudi driving license and readiness for remote-site rotation.
