About the Construction Manager Role

Trs Technical Service is seeking a dedicated Construction Manager for a contract position in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al Khobar and Al Jubail. This role supports a client committed to designing and building significant projects, fostering a welcoming and collaborative work environment that encourages innovative solutions. The projects are primarily within the Food/Pharma sector.

Project Leadership and Oversight

The Construction Manager serves as a key leader, responsible for directing all assigned project staff through direct reports, including various functional managers and supervisors. This position acts as the primary coordinator for all activities and communication both within the project site and between the site and other offices. The role demands a single point of accountability to senior management, the client, and the community, ensuring project integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all staff assigned to projects through direct reports, typically consisting of managers and supervisors heading various functions such as Safety, Quality, Construction/Superintendents, Site Services, Engineering, and Contracts.
• Serve as the lead person to coordinate all activities and communication within the site/project areas, as well as between these areas and other offices and locations.
• Coordinate and implement indirect activities, both internal and external, required to support productive project execution, including functional staff support, craft activities, and other resources necessary to ensure safe and quality project delivery.
• Ensure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and in full compliance with all pertinent requirements.
• Act as the single point of accountability to senior management, the client, and the community.

Qualifications and Experience

• An accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, combined with fourteen (14) years of work-related experience.
• Alternatively, a combination of education and directly related experience totaling eighteen (18) years.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Possession of job-related technical knowledge necessary to successfully complete the role's duties.
• Capability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
