About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Control & Protection Design Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, remote position focused on the comprehensive design, development, and optimization of control and protection systems within a Systems Engineering framework. The role involves applying a cross-functional technical approach to deliver quality products that meet both business and technical customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product and control system technology requirements.
• Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems, focusing on operability, setting limits, cycle optimization, control logic, control-related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback for performance control.
• Implement a robust process for designing, building, and optimizing systems, including identifying requirements, creating alternative design concepts, conducting trade-off studies, selecting and implementing designs, and verifying integration.
• Utilize in-depth technical discipline knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical experience to implement policies and strategies.
• Exercise judgment to propose various solutions for complicated manufacturing processes with technical diversity and interdependent production cycles.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, potentially leading small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Communicate performance expectations and handle confidential topics, developing skills to build team consensus on field-related issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Advanced experience, typically 5-10 years, in a relevant field.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with equivalent relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and best practices, with awareness of market competition.
