About the Role

SALIC is seeking a Corporate Governance Specialist to contribute to the management and development of its corporate governance framework. This full-time position is based in Saudi Arabia and is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on ensuring an effective governance mechanism across all business units and functions, promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making within the organization.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the development and implementation of SALIC’s corporate governance framework, manual, and associated guidelines, policies, and tools. This includes ensuring all processes adhere to local statutory regulations and SALIC’s by-laws, thereby fostering a robust governance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of SALIC’s corporate governance framework, manual, and associated guidelines and policies, ensuring proper implementation, efficiency, and alignment with strategic objectives and applicable regulations.
  • Support the management of governance-related strategic initiatives and requirements.
  • Coordinate with SALIC’s leadership to develop and continuously update its Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrix to clarify authorities across all business units and functions, facilitating smooth decision-making.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of internal policies that enable consistent operations while ensuring alignment with leading practices.
  • Participate in recommending changes to SALIC’s corporate governance framework to ensure the company remains current with best-in-class corporate governance practices and addresses identified challenges.
  • Develop comprehensive periodic reports to support the decision-making processes of top management and the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that policies are streamlined and consistent across SALIC.
  • Review the governance activities of portfolio companies and ensure their adherence to governance and corporate guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate governance frameworks and principles.
