About the Role

ASMO is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to developing and maintaining high-quality data standards and governance measures within the organization. The specialist will monitor technology standards and compliance, ensuring effective data utilization to support business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the data governance and data quality strategy, integrating industry best practices.
  • Define, deploy, and communicate data quality policies, procedures, and guidelines across all business units to ensure proper data usage and maintenance.
  • Manage the Personal Data Protection agenda within ASMO and monitor compliance.
  • Monitor current data quality, identify gaps and root causes, and efficiently resolve issues.
  • Execute data quality business cases, establishing and measuring variances between actual and target outcomes.
  • Develop terms of reference for data quality programs and launch new and improved programs organization-wide.
  • Establish control measures and procedures for data management information (MI) in line with organizational frameworks and guidelines.
  • Execute the data quality implementation roadmap, making necessary changes and enhancements to people, processes, technology, and information.
  • Conduct data quality projects from inception to implementation, including performance tracking and communication.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data quality processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall data governance and data quality.
  • Incorporate feedback from external technology auditors into controls to ensure compliance of Technology systems at ASMO.
  • Stay updated on KSA data protection laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize enhanced cybersecurity measures to protect data and integrate them into protective measures against data theft, breaches, or loss.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field. The role requires a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory compliance, particularly with KSA data protection laws.

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, where the specialist will contribute to a dynamic environment focused on maintaining high-quality data and driving business success through effective data utilization.
