The Role of Delivery Operations Manager

JD Logistics is seeking a Delivery Operations Manager to join its team. This full-time role involves leading and optimizing delivery network operations within Saudi Arabia, focusing on strategic planning, new market launches, and continuous performance improvement. The manager will be responsible for ensuring scalable and cost-effective delivery solutions across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery network planning and optimization in Saudi Arabia, including station planning, service coverage, route design, and capacity allocation.
• Develop end-to-end network launch plans for new cities and regions in Saudi Arabia based on business volume, order density, geographic coverage, and customer requirements.
• Support the launch of new delivery stations and regions from inception, including site planning, capacity assessment, manpower planning, vehicle allocation, and operational setup.
• Analyze key delivery performance indicators such as delivery volume, delivery efficiency, on-time delivery rate, cost per order, and productivity, identifying opportunities for network optimization.
• Continuously optimize delivery network structure and resource allocation in response to business growth and changes in order volume.
• Collaborate with Sales, Warehousing, Transportation, Customs, and other teams to develop and implement delivery solutions for new businesses and regions.
• Support the development of scalable and cost-effective delivery operations across Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in logistics, express delivery, e-commerce logistics, or last-mile delivery, with a strong background in delivery operations or network planning.
• In-depth knowledge of the Saudi logistics and last-mile delivery market, including specific cities, regions, and delivery characteristics.
• Practical experience in network launch, station opening, or new-city delivery network setup within Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to independently conduct network planning and capacity calculations based on order volume, geographic distribution, delivery time, cost, manpower, and vehicle requirements.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to use data for operational decision-making.
• Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills, capable of driving plans from design to implementation.
• Experience with major logistics, express delivery, or e-commerce companies in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
