The Role: Design Engineer | Control & Protection

alfanar is seeking a Design Engineer | Control & Protection to join its team in a full-time capacity. This role focuses on developing and implementing engineering solutions for product design and testing, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The Design Engineer will be responsible for rigorous testing and validation to guarantee product reliability and performance, managing engineering projects from inception to completion, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and budgets. A key aspect of this position involves the continuous improvement of product designs based on testing data, collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders to align design and testing goals with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions for product design and testing, ensuring full compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
• Lead comprehensive testing and validation of product designs to verify reliability, functionality, and performance under real-world conditions, providing detailed analysis of test results.
• Manage and oversee product development projects from inception through completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones and adherence to project budgets.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of testing data to identify areas for design optimization and performance enhancement, implementing continuous improvement processes to refine product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment between design, testing objectives, and broader business goals.

Core Accountabilities

• Maintain and update soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively and providing periodic reports on task execution and deviations.
• Resolve operational problems and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met by developing effective quality control processes and specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities where possible.
• Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined work area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
