About the Role

VINCI Energies, through its brand Omexom, is seeking a motivated Saudi National Electrical Engineer for a full-time, site-based position on a 400kV substation EPC project in Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for an individual with a strong academic foundation in electrical engineering, preferably with a specialization in high-voltage power systems or utility infrastructure. The successful candidate will be integral to supporting engineering and execution activities during the construction phase in remote project locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the review of electrical designs, schematics, and single-line diagrams for 400kV substation systems.
• Support the preparation and verification of technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and method statements.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities under supervision.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with construction teams to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and contribute to progress reports.
• Engage with client representatives, consultants, and vendors to resolve technical queries.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols in remote site conditions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Nationality: Saudi (mandatory).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Specialization in Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering, or Utility Applications is highly preferred.
• Language: Proficiency in both Arabic and English is required for technical documentation and communication.
• Mobility: Willingness to work in remote site locations for extended periods during the construction phase.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Basic understanding of high-voltage equipment, including GIS, transformers, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, or SASO applicable to substation design and construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, site-based position located on remote project sites in Saudi Arabia, specifically within the Al Qasim region.
