Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The Electrical Technician will work under the direction of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer, executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment with strict adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively, complying with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
• Execute all Preventive, Corrective, and Condition-based maintenance activities, including annual outage and overhauling work, following maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Document maintenance concerns and history for equipment.
• Report spare parts and consumables requirements to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer and monitor spare parts availability.
• Ensure proper isolations are carried out before commencing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings relevant to plant equipment.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating electrical equipment used in power and desalination plants.
• Carry out all necessary preparations for electrical maintenance in assigned equipment/areas.
• Understand the working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
• Perform 5S housekeeping in the work area.
• Undertake other assigned duties as required.

Experience and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings.
• Ability to perform maintenance on static and rotating electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance procedures.

Work Environment

The role requires readiness to work in a remote location.
