Electrical Technician

About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. The position requires

minimum of 4 

years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Electrical Technician works under the guidance of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer. Key responsibilities include performing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance, as well as supporting annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment. A strong focus on safety is paramount in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Comply with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
• Execute all plant maintenance activities promptly and safely, following applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Document maintenance concerns and history for equipment.
• Report spare parts and consumables requirements to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer and monitor spare parts availability.
• Verify proper isolations are carried out before commencing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating electrical equipment in power and desalination plants.
• Prepare for electrical maintenance activities for assigned equipment or areas.
• Perform 5S housekeeping in the designated work area.
• Undertake other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 4 

  years of experience in a relevant electrical technician role.

• Good knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings related to plant equipment.
• Understanding of equipment operation and associated operating systems.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a remote location.
