About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician Plumber to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining the hotel's plumbing systems and responding to guest repair requests to ensure a comfortable and functional environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for operational integrity.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment and plumbing components, including unclogging drains and replacing electrical switches.
  • Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb/A/C filter replacement.
  • Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, and finish skills.
  • Understanding of kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, and energy conservation principles.
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
  • Ability to program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.

  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.
  • Properly store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Capable of heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Capable of reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers.
