Role Overview: Field Intern, Mechanical

FieldCore is seeking a Field Engineer Mechanical Intern for a 0-1 year experience internship in Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for current engineering students who will return to their studies upon completion of the work term. The intern will learn the fundamentals of FieldCore Turbine and Generator products under the guidance of experienced supervisors and engineers, assisting with various engineering projects of different sizes and scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete required environment, health, and safety training as a prerequisite for site visits.
• Undergo training to learn the fundamentals of Turbine and Generator product lines.
• Develop skills in using FieldCore web-based applications.
• Learn basic technical skills and perform site work under direct instruction and supervision.
• Understand the fundamentals of project management, scheduling, resource loading, and cost control to support the Field Team during major overhauls.
• Assist Service Managers and Field Engineers in job planning, expediting shop repair activities, and facilitating critical parts orders for outages.
• Support the Service Manager with research and simplification projects.
• Provide remote and on-site support and communications to the FieldCore team.
• Offer general technical and administrative assistance to the Operations team.
• Receive customer calls and expedite short-notice purchasing and shipping for overhaul jobs.
• Organize activities and logistics for field assignments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Currently enrolled students in an Engineering major (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Software, Systems).
• Must be returning to in-class studies upon the completion of the work term.

Work Environment and Conditions
