Field Engineer Mechanical

About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Field Engineer - Mechanical to join the Construction Supervision team for a significant landmark development project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience in the field.

Project Context

The project involves the design, enabling works, and main construction for a large-scale destination development. This includes various iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and essential supporting infrastructure. The Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) is responsible for providing independent, end-to-end supervision and management to ensure all works meet stringent program, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements, supporting both successful operations and long-term legacy objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise mechanical construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fuel, water, drainage, and other mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve mechanical and construction-related issues.
• Review method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, shop drawings, and work procedures related to mechanical systems.
• Verify that mechanical installations are carried out in accordance with approved plans, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and identifying potential delays, risks, and interface issues related to mechanical works.
• Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with inspection and testing requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, inspection documentation, and progress reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities for mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in the successful delivery of project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within construction supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and supervise mechanical construction activities effectively.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fuel, water, and drainage systems.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation such as method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions.

Work Environment

This role is site-based within Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of a dedicated Construction Supervision team. The position is full-time.
