General Practitioner

About the Role

Dallah Healthcare is seeking a General Practitioner to manage patients according to the highest standards of care. This full-time role requires adherence to Dallah Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, operating within the limits of written clinical privileges. The position is ideal for a professional with 2-5 years of experience looking to contribute to patient care in a structured medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clerk patients presenting at the Emergency Room or admitted under the specialty, notifying senior colleagues of patient status.
• Maintain daily written progress notes in patient records.
• Ensure the implementation of all routine admission and patient management orders.
• Monitor patient progress in wards and ICU, conducting daily physical examinations and managing unexpected occurrences.
• Write discharge summaries for patients as directed by the consultant.
• Prescribe and review patient medication appropriately and timely, under consultant/senior registrar supervision.
• Write clinical notes, including assessment and care plans, in medical records per hospital policy.
• Attend appropriate medical staff meetings as directed by the Head of the Diabetes Center.
• Participate in patient and family education to facilitate understanding and informed care decisions.
• Develop and coordinate quality improvement programs within areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties within professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Head of the Diabetes Center.

Qualifications and Experience

• A basic medical degree is required.
• At least two years of experience in a relevant medical field.
• A Diploma, MSc, or equivalent in General Medicine or Endocrinology is desirable.
