The Role: Head of Personal Finance

We are hiring a Head of Personal Finance to lead the Personal Finance (unsecured lending) portfolio for a Retail Banking client. This is a full-time, senior leadership role that owns the full Personal Finance business. The position carries end-to-end accountability for the customer journey, from product design and eligibility through credit, fulfilment, servicing, and portfolio performance, encompassing product proposition, portfolio growth, P&L, pricing, customer acquisition, and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Personal Finance P&L, including revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
• Define and evolve the product proposition and pricing strategy for the Personal Finance portfolio.
• Drive customer acquisition strategy across digital and traditional channels.
• Own portfolio performance management, focusing on asset quality, delinquency, and risk-adjusted returns.
• Lead end-to-end journey design, including eligibility criteria, credit decisioning, fulfilment, and servicing.
• Partner with Credit/Risk teams on policy design and portfolio risk appetite.
• Own lifecycle management, covering retention, cross-sell, and portfolio optimization.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment across the Personal Finance journey.
• Lead and develop the Personal Finance team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• 12+ years of experience in Retail Banking, with significant leadership experience specifically in Personal Finance / unsecured lending.
• Strong understanding of lending economics, pricing, and credit policy.
• Proven experience owning portfolio management and P&L for a lending product.
• Experience with digital lending journeys.
• Strong grasp of risk and compliance requirements in consumer lending.
• Demonstrated leadership in customer acquisition strategy for lending products.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in a GCC/KSA banking market.
• Exposure to digital transformation or fintech partnership initiatives within a bank.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders (Credit, Risk, Compliance, Digital, Operations).
