Role Summary

FAENA is seeking a Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager (Saudi National) to join its pre-opening team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role, reporting to the Hotel Manager, involves leading health, safety, and sustainability initiatives to ensure compliant and environmentally responsible operations. The manager will foster a culture of wellbeing, risk management, and environmental stewardship, supporting FAENA's commitment to regenerative tourism.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain health, safety, security, and loss prevention policies, procedures, and programs.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and proactive risk management.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire safety programs, evacuation drills, and crisis management plans.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, security breaches, and loss prevention matters, ensuring reporting and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with local regulations, company standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Deliver training and awareness programs related to workplace safety, fire prevention, emergency response, and security.
• Collaborate with Engineering, People & Culture, and operational departments to maintain safe working practices.
• Support contractor and supplier compliance with hotel health and safety standards.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities, emergency services, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor security systems, access control procedures, and loss prevention measures.
• Prepare safety reports, incident analysis, and compliance documentation for management review.
• Support pre-opening activities by establishing health, safety, and security standards, procedures, and training.
• Assist in managing departmental budgets and resources for the Health, Safety & Sustainability function.
• Champion FAENA’s commitment to regenerative tourism, ensuring positive contributions to the environment, local communities, and cultural preservation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience (0-1 year) in Health & Safety, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or Risk Management within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental practices, and sustainability initiatives.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, investigations, and compliance reviews.
• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, LEED, or equivalent are preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, working as part of a pre-opening team for a luxury hospitality establishment. The role requires a proactive approach to establishing and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and sustainability.
