Heart of House Specialist

About the Role

Edition is seeking a Heart of House Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for supporting various vital hotel functions by collaborating with all departments, including kitchen, catering, and laundry, to meet cleaning requirements. The specialist ensures the provision of clean linen and impeccable dishes for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare clean, fresh linen and dishes for guest use.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools such as dishwashers, hand washing stations, washing machines, and dryers.
• Transport dishes or linen throughout the hotel premises.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe workplace environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure a professional uniform, personal appearance, and effective communication.
• Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.
• Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to management.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
• Work for extended periods standing, sitting, or in motion.
• Reach for objects overhead and below the knees, involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Execute all other tasks as requested by managers that are consistent with the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• No high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior related work experience is necessary.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is required for this role.

Physical Requirements

The role involves physical activity, including the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (* kg) independently. Candidates should be comfortable working standing, sitting, and in motion for prolonged periods, and capable of reaching objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
