Job Description

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking an In Villa Dining Supervisor to ensure exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction. This full-time role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff performance, and maintaining adherence to service standards. The supervisor will play a key role in upholding the "Gold Standards" of The Ritz-Carlton, contributing to a culture of excellence in luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure team collaboration for optimum service and guest satisfaction.
  • Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing areas.
  • Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO adherence, and cleanliness.
  • Complete scheduled inventories, stock, and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
  • Submit work orders for maintenance repairs.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
  • Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate professionally, develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify and recommend improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
  • Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of safety training and certifications as required.
