About the Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking an IS&T Support professional for a full-time, camp-based role on the Ar Rjum project in Saudi Arabia. This position provides frontline deskside, local network, and general Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) support to the project team at the jobsite. The successful candidate will report to the project IS&T lead and utilize a global array of technologies to support customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs, questions, and concerns, expediting actions accurately and timely.
• Maintain, diagnose, and resolve local IT infrastructure, hardware, and software issues, focusing on continuous improvement in incident resolution and customer service. Support areas include laptop hardware, mobile device management, networking equipment, video conferencing, and office printing.
• Support the project’s automation strategy by installing and maintaining approved company and project standard software.
• Collaborate with construction automation to support project systems reporting, data integration, and work process improvements.
• Deploy and provide end-user hardware and IT services to project personnel.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures for IT requests, asset management, incidents, and end-user support services.
• Assist and participate in the implementation and support of new technologies, services, and security remediations.
• Assist in the IS&T equipment procurement process.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of industry experience. This can be demonstrated through a recognized degree in a STEM-related field with 1-2 years of experience, and/or specialized courses in Information Systems, Engineering, Construction, or related fields, and/or work experience in a STEM-related field with 5-6 years of industry experience.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Eagerness to learn a broad array of general IS&T skills in infrastructure, networking, and general applications support.
• Flexibility to travel and work in a remote construction site location.
• Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of various factors.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Ability to build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships with local/remote personnel.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system and Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Additional Desired Attributes

• Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating changes that may have a cost or schedule impact, and providing input for management reporting.
• Knowledge of satellite/microwave communication technologies, radio systems and call group management, site access control, and construction webcam support.

Work Environment

This role is camp-based, providing support at a jobsite in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The position offers exposure to construction work methods and productivity tools, with opportunities for growth through collaboration with a global IS&T support organization.
