Key Logistics Manager

About the Role

Airbus is seeking a Key Logistics Manager for a contract position. This role involves managing one or several logistics activities, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organization. The manager will oversee physical logistics, manage logistics provider contracts, and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders and regulatory obligations.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Ensure physical logistics management performance and improvement control.
• Implement and control Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to performance, cost, quality, and environment.
• Ensure the application of Airbus Logistics solutions, processes, rules, and policies in physical logistics activities.
• Drive issue resolution through a quick and simple alert/escalation process.
• Propose and drive local, non-disruptive, and short-term improvement initiatives, sharing experience and practices via the Logistics service managers network.
• Contribute to End-To-End Logistics Solutions optimization and surface optimization.
• Secure that standard distribution means are of the right quality and quantity.
• Contribute to infrastructure evolution and surface management.
• Assess logistics impacts in case of short and medium-term planning changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage Logistics Provider (LP) contract compliance and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure correct contract application by the provider and by Airbus, respecting budget and achieving savings.
• Create, challenge, and validate operational scope change requests, work specifications, ad-hoc service requests, and claims.
• Contribute to scope change requests within projects.
• Perform technical negotiation regarding unit prices, volumes, and forecasts.
• Ensure and facilitate harmonized and agile contract governance to deliver services on time, on quality, and on cost.
• Develop and deploy ways of working and trainings to support operations in contract management.
• Calculate and monitor the logistics budget in interface with Finance.
• Support procurement and operations on contract mechanism implementation and monitoring.
• Ensure the alignment of logistics operations within internal stakeholders' processes and requirements to secure logistics performance.
• Implement and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate, understand/challenge internal stakeholders’ requests, and ensure the implementation of changes.
• Ensure risk management with internal stakeholders and Logistics Provider, perform root cause analysis, and manage mitigation plans.
• Manage compliance with regulatory and safety obligations.
• Be accountable for all topics related to Airworthiness Authorities, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Dangerous Goods with regards to logistics business execution.
• Contribute to corporate audits and industrial maturity.
• Plan, prepare, and run audits in collaboration with quality and implement actions to close findings.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
