Lead Business System Analyst

About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Lead Business System Analyst with expertise in SAP Central Finance to join the Digital Finance Transformation Division within the Digital Finance Department. This full-time role is central to driving digital finance transformation initiatives and implementing advanced solutions for the company. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Departmental Context

The Digital Finance Department (DFD) is responsible for the coordination, development, and management of information systems used across financial accounting, financial planning and forecasting, performance management, treasury, and the full suite of digital solutions for the Finance service line. The Digital Finance Transformation Division (DFTD) provides program management services for the design, development, testing, and rollout of group finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to scope, design, develop, test, and roll out group financial solutions using SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, performance management, and related business and analytical solutions.
• Assess SAP Central Finance and Reporting requirements, including financial system landscape assessments, and drive implementation activities.
• Provide solution architecture expertise and guidance for the design and implementation of data mappings, process harmonization, and configuration of CFIN and Group Reporting functionality.
• Offer expertise and support for the design and oversight of Finance master data objects through the implementation of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Coordinate the CFIN data migration strategy, including data replication and reconciliation using Application Interface Framework (AIF) and relevant analysis tools.
• Collaborate with affiliate organizations to ensure infrastructure readiness, address integration requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enable data exchange within the group ecosystem.
• Provide expertise and support for the design and implementation of performance reporting and financial analytics, specifically to drive Actual/Plan/Forecast alignment.
• Analyze and resolve complex system issues, escalating to the IT team for technical support when necessary.
• Communicate concepts, artifacts, and findings effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Document processes and maintain user guides for knowledge transfer within the team.
• Design comprehensive reports and consolidated financial statements according to IFRS standards or GAAP, as required.
• Participate in system upgrades, providing expertise and ensuring smooth transitions.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting solutions to ensure smooth transaction processing, data accuracy, and continuous improvements.
• Obtain necessary technology certifications to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized and approved program.
• Up to ten years of experience in the implementation of SAP-based financial solutions, with at least four years of specific experience in SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting solutions.
• Demonstrated experience, preferably across multiple companies, in implementing complex financial systems.
• A thorough understanding of various aspects of implementing financial systems, including benefit articulation and measurement, evaluation of design and execution options, identification of critical success factors, and assessment of project risks.

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced business degree, such as an MBA, and/or relevant professional financial certifications (*, CMA, CFA, CPA).
• Professional SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Consultant in Financial Applications, SAP Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, and related areas.
