Microbiologist

About the Role

Nestlé Saudi Arabia is seeking a Microbiologist to join their team in Medina. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring quality control through microbiology testing and environmental monitoring within the facility. The position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct quality control microbiology testing for product materials and purified water. The Microbiologist will also be responsible for performing environmental monitoring to maintain compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document in-house microbiological testing on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products in accordance with standard operating procedures and approved protocols.
• Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analysis.
• Accurately record observations, perform data reviews, and release inspection lots within the material management system.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring reliability through proper maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles to enhance laboratory efficiency.
• Handle all associated paperwork, including reports.
• Prepare check receiving reports according to accurate specifications.
• Report abnormalities via notification of quality deviations and implement immediate corrections.
• Adhere to Nestlé Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) rules and procedures at all times to ensure personal and team safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring.
• Proficiency in preparing laboratory standards, solutions, and samples.
• Experience with laboratory instrument operation and maintenance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Saudi Arabia, within a manufacturing and quality control setting at Nestlé Saudi Arabia. The role requires adherence to strict safety and quality protocols.
