Network Sr. Specialist

About the Role

ARO Drilling is seeking a Network Sr. Specialist to join their team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing and optimizing enterprise network systems and supporting critical communication infrastructure for remote and offshore sites. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network systems, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
• Support and optimize satellite communication (LEO/GEO) connectivity for remote and offshore sites.
• Administer and configure network access control systems, such as Aruba ClearPass.
• Utilize network monitoring tools like SolarWinds for proactive issue detection and performance optimization.
• Implement and maintain DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall rules.
• Support and configure WAN optimization appliances and technologies to enhance remote connectivity.
• Perform advanced network configurations, including VPN, BGP, OSPF, ACLs, QoS, and NAT.
• Manage and respond to security threats using IDS/IPS and assist in network hardening activities.
• Assist in capacity planning, documentation, and upgrades of network infrastructure.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support as needed, including addressing remote site connectivity issues.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in network administration and support. This includes hands-on experience with the technologies and responsibilities outlined above.

Technical Skills

The role requires proficiency in managing various network components and protocols. This includes expertise in LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, wireless infrastructure, satellite communications, network access control systems, and network monitoring tools. Strong skills in VPN, BGP, OSPF, ACLs, QoS, and NAT are essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role involves supporting critical network infrastructure, including remote and offshore sites, and may require on-call and after-hours availability to address urgent issues.
