The Role of Non-Executive Director / Strategic Adviser

Hamilton Bradshaw MENA is seeking an experienced and well-connected Non-Executive Director / Strategic Adviser to support the founder and Board of a new architecture and design practice. This contract role is based in Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jeddah and Riyadh, and is intended to be hands-on and commercially focused. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and growing the practice's presence across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region, providing practical advice on opportunities and leveraging local relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the founder on live pitches, proposals, and client strategy.
• Advising on pricing, commercial positioning, and strategies to approach and convert opportunities.
• Providing insight into the Saudi architecture, design, and development market, including project commissioning and awarding processes.
• Making relevant introductions to potential clients, partners, and other key decision-makers.
• Assisting in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.
• Advising on navigating local business networks and decision-making structures.
• Providing practical strategic advice as the business establishes and scales its Saudi presence.
• Acting as a sounding board to the founder and offering constructive commercial challenge.
• Supporting the Board on the wider development of the practice across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will combine strong Saudi market knowledge with a practical, entrepreneurial approach. This role requires over 10 years of experience. We are seeking an individual who is accessible, engaged, and willing to work closely with the founder, rather than a senior industry figure whose experience is primarily suited to governance roles within large established organizations.
