About Al Salama Hospital

Al Salama Hospital is a healthcare institution committed to providing high-quality medical services. We are currently seeking a dedicated Ophthalmology Technician to join our full-time Ophthalmology/Surgery team. This role is essential in supporting our mission to deliver patient-centric and professional eye care.

Role Overview

The Ophthalmology Technician will work closely with ophthalmologists, providing crucial assistance in patient screening and diagnostic testing. This position requires a commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards in all aspects of eye care, contributing to a seamless clinical experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen patients by accurately measuring visual acuity, checking intraocular pressure, and administering eye drops for dilation as required.
  • Perform a range of specialized diagnostic tests, including A/B scan, fundus photography, OCT, visual field testing, FFA, and Pentacam.
  • Accurately enter patient information and diagnostic results into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Upload all required test results in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with data confidentiality and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and other support staff to ensure a smooth and patient-focused clinical workflow.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a Certified Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is mandatory.
  • Experience level required is 0-1 years in a relevant ophthalmology setting.
