About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a PhD Peer Reviewer with expertise in Astrophysics to support its operations in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term, stable, part-time position that offers remote work flexibility.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts within the field of Astrophysics. This involves critically evaluating submitted research to ensure its scientific rigor, originality, and contribution to the field. The reviewer will play a crucial part in the academic publishing process by offering constructive feedback and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to existing knowledge in Astrophysics.
• Critically assess the study design, methodology, and clarity of presentation to ensure reproducibility and scientific validity.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and up-to-date literature in the field.
• Analyze the presentation of results and the validity of conclusions drawn from the data.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential ethical concerns.
• Make informed recommendations regarding the publication of manuscripts based on the evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Astrophysics or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Demonstrated understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in scientific research.
• Prior experience serving as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
