About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time, long-term remote position as a PHD Peer Reviewer specializing in Pulmonology. This role requires a high level of academic and professional expertise to contribute to the integrity of scientific publications.

Core Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct thorough peer reviews of scientific manuscripts submitted for publication. This involves critically evaluating the originality, scientific rigor, and overall quality of the research. Key tasks include:

• Assessing the novelty and contribution of the manuscript to the field of Pulmonology.
• Evaluating the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of the study design and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verifying that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date literature.
• Analyzing the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are supported by the data and are significant to the field.
• Providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommending publication decisions to the journal editor based on the comprehensive evaluation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience to be considered for this position:

• A Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area (Pulmonology).
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field.
• A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
