About the Planning Scheduler Role
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Planning Scheduler to join their team. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure efficient project execution and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, look-ahead schedules, and revised project programmes.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify schedule deviations.
- Collect progress updates from engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and identify critical and near-critical activities.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and key contractual dates.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Analyze schedule performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Prepare 2-week / 3-week / 4-week look-ahead schedules as required.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and prepare S-Curves, manpower histograms, progress curves, and productivity reports.
- Update resource loading, activity progress, remaining durations, and forecast dates.
- Coordinate with project teams to identify delays, constraints, and potential schedule risks.
- Support preparation of EOT (Extension of Time) and delay analysis documentation.
- Assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans for delayed activities.
- Review subcontractor schedules and monitor their performance against approved programmes.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure schedule data is accurate and up to date.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide scheduling updates to project management and clients.
Required Experience
Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant planning or scheduling role. Familiarity with project scheduling principles and software is essential.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required for this role. The ability to perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and generate various project reports is also necessary.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position, involving close coordination with various project teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors. The role requires active participation in progress meetings and direct communication with project management and clients.
