PMO Manager

About the Role

Cornerstone Global Partners (CGP Group) is partnering with a Global Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy to appoint a Senior PMO Manager for a high-profile operational readiness program within the energy and utilities sector. This is a full-time, permanent role on a long-term project, requiring the successful candidate to be based in a remote area.

Role Context and Purpose

The Senior PMO Manager will serve as the central interface between the client, its stakeholders, and the consultancy’s delivery team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure schedules, activities, and milestones remain aligned across all parties involved in the operational readiness program. This position is suited for a Senior Project Manager with substantial PMO experience who excels in coordination and stakeholder management. The role is supported by an experienced Project Director and a dedicated team, including a Project Manager, Scheduler, and Risk Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate client and stakeholder interfaces to drive operational readiness.
• Align stakeholder schedules, delivery activities, and key milestones.
• Maintain continuous coordination among all parties involved in program delivery.
• Report progress and delivery alignment to the project management and project controls teams.
• Collaborate closely with the wider delivery team to keep the program on track against critical deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience with strong PMO experience, operating at a Senior Project Manager level.
• Proven track record of coordinating multiple stakeholders, schedules, and priorities on complex projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to managing project interfaces.
• Background in construction, infrastructure, energy, or utilities.
• Willingness to be based in a remote area.

Highly Advantageous Skills and Experience

• Experience within the energy, power, or utilities sector.
• A consultancy or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) background.
• Exposure to operational readiness or regulatory and licensing-driven programs.
