Dallah Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Podologist to join its medical team in a full-time capacity. This role is integral to providing specialized patient care within the hospital's resources, particularly focusing on the Diabetes Center.

The Role of Podologist

The Podologist will manage patients to the highest attainable standard of care within Dallah Hospital. Operating under the supervision of consultants in the Diabetes Center, this position involves comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients attending the Center or consulting any of its members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patients under direct responsibility to the highest standard of care within Dallah Hospital's resources.
• Work collaboratively under the supervision of consultants in the Diabetes Center.
• Assess and treat patients attending the Center or referred by other Center members.
• Conduct patient consultations by appointment, typically following a written referral, as emergency consultations are not part of this role.
• Accept telephone appointments if sufficient details of the problem are communicated and deemed necessary.
• Maintain full control over service appointments, prioritizing patient needs based on merit.
• Primarily see patients in the clinic, with the discretion to see inpatients on the wards if necessary.
• Refer patients with vascular problems to a vascular surgeon and ensure they are not accepted for podology treatment.
• Assess patients with acute ulcers in conjunction with a doctor, ensuring the patient remains under the responsibility of the referring physician during treatment.
• Implement appropriate policies and procedures to achieve Hospital goals in pursuit of Standards of Care and Quality/Performance Improvement.
• Participate in patient and family education to enhance understanding and participation in care decisions.
• Perform other duties within professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Head of the Diabetes Center.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the management of diabetic foot disease.
• Must be a Staff Nurse with a training certificate in diabetic foot care from a recognized institute.
• Previous professional experience in any Arab country is required.

Work Environment

The Podologist will operate within the structured environment of Dallah Hospital's Diabetes Center. The role emphasizes scheduled appointments and close collaboration with medical consultants, ensuring a focused approach to patient care without emergency consultations.
