CRITICAL CARE NURSE

About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Critical Care Nurse 3 to provide advanced-level nursing care within an assigned unit in Dhahran. This full-time role involves supporting operational processes, maintaining high standards of patient care, and resolving complex clinical issues. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Critical Care Nurse 3 contributes to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices and participates in the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency. This role is integral to achieving and sustaining high quality of care and patient safety, while also supporting the empowerment of nurses through the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care services, with a focus on complex cases.
• Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Achieve and/or maintain the mandated activities for level 3, requiring a minimum total of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
• Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients, respecting privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and contribute to recommendations regarding progress and training needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations using clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Complete all required unit-based critical care competencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
• Demonstrated ability to provide advanced-level nursing care.
• Experience in mentoring intermediate-level nurses.
• Proficiency in resolving complex clinical issues.

Work Environment

This role operates within a multidisciplinary team environment, requiring close collaboration to ensure efficient care delivery and high staff engagement. The position is based in Dhahran and is a full-time commitment.
