Purchasing Supervisor (Saudi National Only)

About the Role

FAENA is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing daily purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. The Purchasing Supervisor supports the Purchasing Manager by supervising purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.

Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to manage procurement operations efficiently. This includes monitoring inventory needs, resolving supply chain issues, and ensuring all purchases meet established quality, budget, and delivery requirements to support smooth business operations. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing activities and ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.
• Review and accurately process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Ensure purchases comply with company policies, budgets, and approval procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor order status and follow up to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, incorrect items, or quality concerns.
• Maintain updated records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
• Support inventory control by coordinating with stores/warehouse teams.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Ensure proper documentation for all procurement transactions.
• Work closely with finance and operations departments on purchasing needs.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
• Assist in cost control and identifying savings opportunities.
• Prepare purchasing reports and updates for management review.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal controls.
• Support audits by providing required purchasing documentation.
• Train and guide junior purchasing staff when needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee daily purchasing activities and manage procurement operations.
• Experience in supplier coordination and negotiation.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, budgets, and approval procedures.
