About the Recreation Experience Expert Role

Edition is seeking a Recreation Experience Expert to serve as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property. This full-time role involves providing guests with information about available recreational facilities, which may include a pool, beach, entertainment/game room, fitness center, and children's activity center. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Motivate, recruit, register, and organize guests to participate in recreational activities.
• Foster a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests while promoting rules and regulations to ensure safety.
• Observe activity in recreational facilities and respond appropriately to emergencies according to local operating procedures.
• Provide cashier services for point-of-sale transactions within facilities.
• Assist with private group activity functions and events held at recreational facilities.
• Identify and report unsafe activity situations to supervisors or managers.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and serve guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, including answering phone calls with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Process payments for equipment rental, activities, facility rental, or retail sales.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11 kg) independently, and heavier objects with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights, requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to move in elevated, confined, or narrow spaces.
• Navigate slippery, uneven, or inclined surfaces, and climb/descend stairs or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, crawling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
