Recreation Experience Expert

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Recreation Experience Expert for a full-time position in the Red Sea region. This role serves as a primary resource for all recreational activities available on the property, providing guests with information and facilitating their participation in various leisure options. The position involves direct guest interaction and ensuring a safe, pleasant environment for all recreational pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guests with comprehensive information about recreational facilities, including swimming pools, beaches, entertainment rooms, health centers, and children's activity centers.
• Encourage, recruit, and register guests for leisure activities, assisting with planning and promotion to foster a relaxed atmosphere.
• Enforce rules for leisure and fitness facilities, prioritizing guest and member safety and well-being.
• Monitor activities within leisure facilities and respond to emergency situations in accordance with local operating procedures.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and provide cashier services in relevant facilities.
• Assist with private receptions, group activities, and events held within leisure facilities.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and report concerns to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide immediate assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and accessories.
• Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous conditions, adhering to safety training and certification requirements.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, respect confidentiality, and protect company property.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist disabled persons, and communicate professionally.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and maintain positive working relationships.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Operate computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related information and transactions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) independently, and over 50 pounds (* kg) with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capability to move on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as stairs or ramps.
• Ability to perform extension and flexion movements of the knees, including bending, turning, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 0-1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.

  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Sports and Leisure Equipment certification
  • Any additional certifications or training mandated by local and state agencies.
